GMHVA Announces 60th Anniversary Charity Ball
Boots & Baubles: A Legacy of Caring, Compassion & Contribution
(Upper Tumon, Guam) Tuesday, March 18th, 2025 – The Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association (GMHVA) is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated 60th Anniversary Charity Ball, set to take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort. This milestone event, themed "Boots & Baubles: 60 Years of Grace and Giving," will celebrate six decades of community service and philanthropic impact, honoring GMHVA’s rich legacy of caring, compassion, and contribution.
With a touch of Southern charm and elegance, the evening will feature a delightful blend of live dinner music and entertainment, and grand activities to celebrate GMHVA’s 60th anniversary. Guests will be treated to a memorable program that includes:
- Cocktail Hour and Art Showcase: Enjoy live cocktail music and view inspiring artwork from Guam high school students as part of the Colors of Compassion art contest.
- Dinner and Live Entertainment: Enjoy a sumptuous dinner service accompanied by live music.
- Legacy of a Lifetime Tribute to the late Mrs. Margaret Ann Jones, honoring her legacy as a charter member and founding force behind GMHVA.
- Exciting Raffle Giveaway: Exciting vehicle raffle Grand Prize of a Ford Ranger STX Pickup Truck and Baby Grand $5,000 Cash Prize, PLUS a new exciting addition to the raffle giveaway - United Airlines has generously donated two (2) round-trip Economy tickets for travel from Guam to the U.S. (via Honolulu)! Raffle tickets are $50 each and winners will be drawn that evening. Winners need not be present to win.
Proceeds from the Charity Ball will directly support Guam Memorial Hospital, funding essential medical equipment including, 2 Stryker ICU beds, 1 anesthesia machine and rehabilitative service equipment. These tools will enhance patient care and improve the well-being of the island community.
A variety of sponsorship tiers are still available, allowing community partners to contribute meaningfully while enjoying premium event benefits and can be viewed on GMHVA’s website at gmhvolunteers.org. Corporate table and individual tickets are also available for purchase.
The event will also spotlight the Colors of Compassion art contest, inviting high school students across Guam to showcase their creative talent. The theme encourages young artists to create works reflecting Guam’s culture, nature, and the spirit of compassion. Guests at the Charity Ball will vote for their favorite artwork, with a total cash prize pool of $1,000 distributed among up to 5 winners.
